My roommate and I worked exclusively with Mike Chang. We were very pleased with our experience. Many NYC real estate brokers are short and dismissive. Mike was always a pleasant person to work with. He was very helpful and answered almost all questions we had. He was very responsive and accommodating throughout the whole process. In the end, we owe the successful application for our current apartment to him. I would definitely recommend him to a friend. Thanks Mike!
I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed meeting with you on Sunday during the walk-through and the lease signing for the apartment. I really did appreciate your help and working with the boys in the apartment search etc. You personal touch and friendly disposition is appreciated. Your professional attitude and willingness to accommodate our schedule is also appreciated.
My son really did appreciate your help and the way you treated him.
Best wishes and thanks a million.

we can't thank you enough for finding such a wonderful place for us! Unlike other brokers we talked to, you were never pushy and seemed to genuinely care about what we wanted and listened to our needs. This definitely sets you apart from the rest. Be sure that I will be recommending you to my friends all over town. And of course, look for an invite to our house warming party ;)
I worked with Tom Beron for a couple of months this year.
I found Tom to be pleasant, hard working and friendly.
He asked me lots of questions to hone in on what I was looking for...
And he had a good inventory of apartments to show in the area I was looking.
If I ever need a broker, I would gladly work with Tom again.
Alexander will do everything he can to find you an apartment to suit your budget and needs. He''s very knowledgeable in the East Village and LES. Professional and friendly guy.
I contacted a lot of brokers while I was desperately looking for a new place. A year ago I was forced to move out of my apartment within 10 days. I didn''t want to move away from the upper east side so I tried to find something close to my old place. As soon as the brokers found out that I am from Europe they told me I would never be able to get an apartment unless I earn enough money and have someone guarantee for me that earns even more money. After a very long day of looking at apartments that were simply inacceptable I met with Andi Antonucci from alpha properties. I had almost given up hope, I had to move out the next day and so far not seen a single place that was close to what I was looking for. I told her right away that I am not a US resident and that my salary was not as high as expected, but that I would still be able to pay for everything. First thing she said was that I shouldnt worry, she would find an apartment for me. She was so nice and said she would only show me apartments from where she knew the landlords could accept me. Out of all brokers I met with she was the only person who actually showed me apartments within my price range and exactly in the neighborhood where I wanted to live. I moved into a beautiful and perfect one-bedroom apartment only four days later! Everyone at alpha properties new york, especially Andi Antonucci, was so caring and nice and really eager to make it happen for me to not only move in asap but actually find the place I was looking for.
I can only recommend alpha properties!
Israel was referred to me by a friend who had a great experience with him and spoke of his honesty and how he "is not like other brokers." Over the course of a couple of weekends, I needed to make the most of my apartment hunting time prior to relocating to NY from another city. On virtually a day''s notice, Israel gave me a few hours of his time on both Saturday and Sunday, and I had a sense that he had taken note of my preferences and priorities and did additional work for me to prepare for the following weekend of apartment hunting. I was very impressed with his accessibility and responsiveness. Israel is also very up front and honest, setting expectations for how we would be able to work within my preferences. I felt that I could trust him, and that he was a knowledgeable source of information for living in NY in general, as well as the particulars of the rental market in certain neighborhoods. If you are in need of assistance with apartment hunting, especially if you are coming in from out of town and have never lived in New York, I would highly recommend Israel to ensure that you have someone you can trust on your side for the difficult adventure that is apartment hunting in NYC.
Zach was dilligent, professional and listened. Pleasure to work with.
At my wit''s end. That''s where I was when I found an ad on yet another apartment finder site, for yet another "spacious one-bedroom" in the right neighborhood, at the right price that was... and here''s the biggest factor... PET FRIENDLY. I''d already been turned down by a couple of brokers who wouldn''t even work with me as I searched for a no-fee apartment that would accommodate me and my 100lb Akita. Apparently Akitas are considered aggressive breeds in NY...so even when I found apartments that allowed dogs over 50lbs...chances are they STILL wouldn''t allow my dog.
So anyway, I sent an email in response to the ad and heard back from Chris Corigliano from Alpha within the hour. Turns out that specific apt didn''t allow dogs over 25lbs (which, let''s face it...under 25lbs isn''t really even a dog)...BUT...he said I''ll find you something. He took me on...he didn''t laugh at my meager budget (which would be a good mortgage in some towns...but in New York doesn''t seem to get much more than a cardboard box ...but under a GOOD bridge). He didn''t think I was crazy to want a full size kitchen and a bedroom that ACTUALLY would fit a BED! He didn''t say, I can''t help you when he found out about the size of my dog. He said...don''t worry...we''ll find something.
And after a difficult search...with him even sending me leads while I was traveling out of the country for work...and looking at tons of apartments... and getting more rejections based on my dog... we finally found something. FINALLY. A proper one bedroom. He negotiated the rent down to fit in my budget and got me the move in date that I wanted (pro-rated for the month...which seems to be an issue w/a lot of the buildings these days). He was calm, he was patient and now my dog and I can remain together in a lovely apartment, in a convenient location (3 stops to my job!!).
Oh...and to top it off, when I moved in...waiting for me was the gift of a little tin of olive oil from his family''s farm in Italy. Seriously? So, would I recommend Alpha, absolutely. Chris C. ... a pure class act.
The only downside was that I did end up paying a fee (although it was well below the standard broker fee rates in NYC).
And for the record... as a public service announcement: I have met more aggressive Chihuahuas than aggressive akitas. It''s all about training and socialization. (Just had to get that off my chest).
Being new to the city I was not sure what to expect in my search for my apartment. Alexander from Alpha Properties was great. I gave him the details of what I was looking for and the next day he showed me 9 or 10 different places in the neighborhood I was interested in until we found the right one. He was very responsive to all of my questions via text, email or phone call and showed a genuine interest and concern in finding me the right place!
Alpha NYC has been a pleasure to work with. This past summer we used several brokers, but nobody was able to find what we were looking for. Thankfully, we worked with Tom Beron, who was extremely helpful, competent, and efficient. He quickly found us the perfect apartment, and even knocked $250 from the original price. He also charges a very fair and competitive broker''s fee. I was abroad when my roommates found the apartment, and Tom was very understanding and patient when receiving all of my paperwork. He is very practical, knowing exactly what needs to be done and when. I will definitely be recommending him to everyone I know.
